Debora Mackenzie

Debora MacKenzie is Canadian, but has lived in continental Europe since 1980.
She trained as a biomedical scientist, but left the lab for journalism, and has written for the British scientific weekly New Scientist since 1982.
She mainly covers food production, arms control, infectious disease, and social complexity issues including finance, governance and environment; she has just started a column called Threatwatch.
