this was done
The pension was Gazetted that it was there but still whaiting

I wonder how our government views issues of prejudice on citizen's rights by employers and pension fund houses, as far as pension issues are concerned.Many black professionals invested heavily in retirement funds which profited immensely from member contributions only to be told now,that their savings,the only retirement investments they were looking forward to sustain them in old age were either looted or dishonored.I feel the time is now,to expedite the rectification of these issues,as many pensioners are dying of stress related to benefits that are either not forthcoming or are far from the initially agreed figures or anticipated payments

These guys thougt we will just grab what ever they are dishing out - if the government acknowledges the anomalies associated with usd as a strong currence compared to out bond and OLD Mutual continue using a rate of 1 is to 1 surely the y are short changing us - at least we must be given what we contributed without their interest we can understand - not somebody work for 40 yrs and come out with 6000 usd if converted or rated its prejudice beyond description.

I took out a Old Mutual Pension that looked good with yearly bonuses and pay out predictions as long as it ran to maturity, I tried to up the payments when the Zim Dollar was sliding they stated the policy could not be changed. Some years later they offered a paid up offer in ZD and said no further contributions were due, They can change the contract but not us. I declined the offer and said I will wait for the maturity date, So when it came in 2011 I applied and they offered a one time payment of US$200.00 .The buildings they put up in that era are still there and collect rents in USD so what is the problem they cant pay a monthly pension after all they pay out a Brit Pound pension of £2000 to at the rate Zim $ 4000.00 which was the rate it was for the Rhodesian dollar when it first came out. This was with First Mutual Pension
