That's what killing is all about. When they meet their maker they will pay the price. God be with them.
A remembrance they'd rather forget: WWI's executed soldiers 2021-11-14T11:27:36Z https://www.equaltimes.org/a-remembrance-they-d-rather-forget#comment98438 2021-11-14T11:27:36Z
As I watch the Remembrance service on tv, I feel we should have some recognition of all those British servicemen who were executed by our own soldiers. We should have a Remembrance Day for them.
A remembrance they'd rather forget: WWI's executed soldiers 2019-01-27T19:57:57Z https://www.equaltimes.org/a-remembrance-they-d-rather-forget#comment97488 2019-01-27T19:57:57Z
Only Australian volunteers served in WW1. Women had the vote nationally since 1902. Earlier in some of the states. Imagine the consequences in Australia to the news that our volunteers were being executed. Enlistment would have fallen drastically and it would have been political suicide for the governing party in power at the time.
A remembrance they'd rather forget: WWI's executed soldiers 2017-01-21T05:54:47Z https://www.equaltimes.org/a-remembrance-they-d-rather-forget#comment96983 2017-01-21T05:54:47Z
British propaganda in 1914, was instrumented by Lord Kitchener by way of a buglers who was sent out west of New South Wales, in Australia, to recruit young naive Australian men from the field, where they toiled with horse and plow. Along with other British Generals who came and manned enrollment stations in country towns and bigger cities. with the promise of a short lived war with it's just deserts of being hailed as decorated military heroes on return to Australia. They said it was the war to end all wars, namely 'The Great War. .A desperate country, plying it's false promises. Even the patriarchs, the solid men who, pioneered Australia were proud to have their son's serve King and country, were also duped. A big shame on England and Germany, for so much loss of life. Australian men were all volunteers and we as a nation in 2017 are proud of them all. Dear Andrew, i am doing research on the Nazi genocide and do ask you, for comparison purposes, do you have any figure at all of German shootings of their own troops for running away?
thanx, Eliyahu
A remembrance they'd rather forget: WWI's executed soldiers 2016-10-22T17:57:37Z https://www.equaltimes.org/a-remembrance-they-d-rather-forget#comment96932 2016-10-22T17:57:37Z
Geoff I suggest you do some reading.
Your comment is one uneducated and spouting an opinion on something you've obviously never read up about.

Haig visited the front all the time and 232 generals were killed or wounded at the front.

Respectfully
Andy
A remembrance they'd rather forget: WWI's executed soldiers 2016-03-03T05:06:27Z https://www.equaltimes.org/a-remembrance-they-d-rather-forget#comment96811 2016-03-03T05:06:27Z
What is most appalling is the fact that not one officer was executed in the Anglo army for cowardice but many OR were, nor were any of the craven cowards masquerading as generals found guilty of crimes against humanity.
Proof of that in the fact that General,Field Marshall,Sir Douglas Haig, never saw or visited the front line in four years of war.He resented getting ihis boots dirty.
