I find this trend very worrying, especially when our Western democratic rights seem to be eroding at a great pace! I understand that these companies are providing a much needed service for what seems to us to be next to no money..however, how long will it take for us to realise the implication this has for a greater number of citizens in these countries??. The whole idea of citizenship should include a good public education...for all! We should all be campaigning for good government- provided schools or we are selling our societies short. We already have been lulled into accepting standaris/zed, Pisa-test driven education... what's next.. ??
The pitfalls of privatised education 2015-07-31T05:59:52Z https://www.equaltimes.org/the-pitfalls-of-privatised#comment96635 2015-07-31T05:59:52Z
What is your evidence that GEMS only works with Private schools? Their Foundation seems to do a lot of great work training teachers in the public school systems around the world.
https://www.varkeyfoundation.org/projects/low-cost-teacher-training
