DR stealing his pension has nothing to do with the mismanagement of Haiti.

His pension was earned and kept in DR. Just pay up.
Dominican Republic: the Haitian sugar workers denied their pensions 2015-12-17T14:06:43Z https://www.equaltimes.org/dominican-republic-the-haitian#comment96772 2015-12-17T14:06:43Z
Obviously, the right thing to do is to pay the retired Batey workers as they worked extremely hard under the sun providing sugar to the world. What is a 90 year old person like Louides Sanon can do at his age? However, if we think carefully about this situation, who is really at fault here? The article states that Leonor Mesille left Haiti in 1947 for what he thought would be a better life in the Dominican Republic. 1947??? That is 68 years ago!!! Therefore, we can come to a conclusion that Haiti has been mismanaged for a very long time. Maybe the mismanagement came from internal or external forces or a combination of both. Nevertheless, Haiti has been super mismanaged. If Haiti had solid tourism and solid agricultural industries, it is doubtful that a large number of Haitians would leave Haiti to go cut sugar cane in the Dominican Republic. Here at www.come2haiti.com we like to get involved in solutions. A possible solution is to organise a donation fund for the retired Batey workers if they will not get their pension.
