Marion Fontenille is a French freelance journalist based in Istanbul, Turkey, where she has been working for seven years. A correspondent for RTL radio, she has covered major events ranging from the Gezi Park protests in 2013 to the failed coup attempt on 15 July 2016. She periodically contributes to a variety of French-speaking media such as Le Soir, L’Humanité Dimanche, Slate.fr and Medi1 Radio.
